Evan Thorix set to break the land-speed record |
"Radicalix" is the nickname for the vehicle that is going to propel Evan Thorix in excess of 2800Km/h. Equipped with a sequenced ablative chemo battery reactor and a custom designed cogi-matrix to distribute power to the electrical engines and control stability, Radicalix weighs slightly over 1200kg. The entire structure is built of monostable compounds. Even the slightest imperfection could result in the vehicle disintegrating during the acceleration. Evan will sit in a special gel bath capsule to withstand the acceleration and deceleration.
"Radicalix" is a one-shot vehicle. This attempt will be the first and last of its career since the structure is expected to be able to sustain the vibrations for only 103 seconds. Thorix's is confident to be able to beat the record in just 78 seconds, giving him a full 25 seconds to decelerate.
