Clarifications
Q: When do winners in close combat get a free attack?
A: A model winning a combat round gets a free attack if it chooses to push
back the loosing model and the latter does not have 5cm of free space behind it to retreat to.
Q: Ferocious troops
A: When a model attacks a Ferocious model in close combat, it always suffers Strike Back
if 1 or 2 is rolled on the attack die.
If the attacker, through high FA or modifiers, could hit the Ferocious defender on a 2 or more, it still misses
and suffers Strike Back if the die roll is 1 or 2. On the other hand,
if the winner of a combat round gains a free attack
because the opponent has no space for the push back, then the Ferocious ability does not count because
the looser cannot Strike Back. In this case only a natural 1 on the attack roll indicates a miss, and a 2
is a hit if the FA of the attacker + bonuses are high enough.
Q: Sniping weapons
A: Sniping weapons can be fired using a Standard Fire action or a
an Aim and Fire a Sniping Weapon action. They get the +1 bonus to hit only
in the latter case.
Q: What is the SS of the crew of an off-table support weapon?
A: Since in this case the shot is aimed and guided with the help of machines, always
consider the SS = 6.
Q: How do I simulate a bombardier attack?
A: The rules for flying vehicles are meant to represent low altitude fighters, helicopters and the like.
If you wish to simulate an aerial attack from a bombardier you should design it as an off-table support weapon.
For example:
WEAPON | PTS | Class | Pen | Properties |
Bombardier (Single Attack) | 120 | Very Heavy | 6 | One Use, Off Table Support, Area of Effect 6cm Radius |
Bombardier (Multiple Attacks) | 180 | Very Heavy | 6 | Recharge 1 Turn, Off Table Support, Area of Effect 6cm Radius |
+ the obligatory long Range Comm-Link (10 pts) |
